Managing The Nation Episode 1

Just wrapped shooting the very first episode of Managing The Nation on Metro TV yesterday. It's a program on current issues (with strong political tie ins) but... here's what makes it different.. analyzed purely from a managerial perspective.
The main host is Dr. Tanri Abeng MBA, businessman, former minister and profound management guru. With my background in Management (MSc International Management, The University of Reading, England), needless to say I was beyond excited when they offered me the job as co-host.
The preliminary meetings was surreal. Here I was, sitting next to Tanri Abeng, with a list of who's-who in Indonesia's elite politics, having a discussion on the program's content.
Names such as Darmin Nasution, Aburizal Bakri, Megawati, Boediono, and THE man himself, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, are on the list of potential guests!
For the first episode, we were honored to have Mr. Irman Gusman, leader of DPD (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat or Regional Parliament). Pak Tanri assured us that Pak Irman will be an interesting and lively guest, and he was not mistaken.

Pak Irman, still in his 40's, with a Masters degree from The States, a renowned businessman, and a true passion for equal development and wealth in all regions - spoke with wit and humbleness that reevaluated my opinions on politician.
Overall (minus all the fumbles you would typically encounter in shooting the first episode) the shoot was satisfactory. The show has great potential dan I am confident the next episodes we will not just entertain, but educate, and hopefully motivate and inspire.

Managing The Nation with Tanri Abeng, every Thursday, 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm, Metro TV.
